The DUC525 is a lovely concert Ukulele with a tone that is both punchy and warm, thanks to the unique combination of a spruce solid top and zebrano body. Featuring an arched back, you will be amazed at the massive sound this Ukulele will give you.
Spruce is a soft tonewood used since time immemorial to make musical instrument soundboards. Its colour is typically creamy white with hints of yellow and red. Zebrawood is a hardwood from West Africa light brown or cream in colour, with dark blackish brown streaks which resemble a zebra's stripes. Both woods are combined in the DUC525 to create a unique sound that is boosted and concentrated by the arched back.
The neck and fingerboard of the DUC525 are made from African okoume and rosewood. It's a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well. The rosettes in all our ukuleles are drawn by hand and engraved by laser. Each model has a unique design, which one is your favourite?
The nut and saddle of the DUC525 are made from bone (not from plastic!), only one of the details that make this ukulele truly special.
Headstock design is an integral part of our identity. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully-designed headstock fitted with geared tuners that will always stay in tune.
