Max Reger (1873-1916) was a German composer, pianist, organist, conductor and teacher. He was musical director of the Leipzig University Church, a professor at the Royal Conservatory in Leipzig, and music director at the court of Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen. His compositions are mainly Lieder, chamber music, and works for Piano and Organ.
