The concept of publishing three sonatas on the current syllabus together in one book is a good one. The music layout is clear too. And the Grade 8 piece K162 (the one I required this time) is a lovely sonata to play!
The price is too high. Almost £10 for about ten pages of music is excessive. Since there are so many Scarlatti sonatas to choose from, and the piano syllabus changes every two years, it is expensive for music teachers to keep a stock of the current pieces for each year. With a bit of forward planning, maybe a larger group of Scarlatti pieces for the higher grades could be identified to be used over, say, a six or ten year period (in successive 2-year lists during that time) and published together in future?
