The words of Christina Rossetti's poem Who Has Seen The Wind? are simple, yet spiritually profound. They speak of placing trust in the unknowable, and of appreciating the miracle of our existence:
'Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.'
In this setting for SATB choir by David Archer the music is lyrical and contrapuntal with wide dynamic contrast. This beautifully poignant piece offers plenty of moments for your singers to express their individual musicianship.
