This makes a good book for a beginning improviser to do their own analysis on chords/harmony, then transposing the pieces to other keys, and finally developing expanded improvisations on the chords and melody.

I really enjoyed the pieces as I advanced well into the middle and later pieces in the book.
Chord symbols would be a nice addition to the scores for the pieces. I think I read something in the description about discussions about the pieces; there are no discussion in the book.
