This item contains the Full Score and Parts
is a unique work, originally performed in the Music Room in the Cooper Hewitt Museum. It was composed as a response to the room within the Museum that Maira Kalman created, and the objects chosen to be displayed within them. Object Songs
certainly isn't like any piece you'll have ever performed before, featuring the sound of a ticking watch that fades in and out, inspired by Abraham Lincoln's pocket watch, which was made to tick again in 2014. From here, you will hear the six songs move through various themes including spoons, soup and even gibberish lyrics.
Inspired by our natural affection for objects and how they affect our memories, Object Songs is a unique composition unlike any you'll have performed before.
