Weber A: Lecons Progr.Lecture Et Rythme Vol 2:cles Sol Et Fa S/Acct

Books | Theory Books and Papers

Publisher: Alphonse Leduc
Format:

French composer, Alain Weber (b. 1930) writes Progressive Lessons in Theory and Rhythm with much experience and expertise. This second volume, which considers in detail quavers, semiquavers, triplets and the 6/8 time signature, is essential to accompany basic theory progression.

Following graduation from the Paris Conservatoire, Weber spent time in Italy to develop his own musical style. However, he soon returned to the institution as a professor of theory and counterpoint. He is a significant contributor to important teaching materials and Progressive Lessons in Theory and Rhythm is no exception.

It is good to have a portable instrument to illustrate this theory. The conventional teaching is a circle, and it could be that the linear-repeat diagram is better. I bought this in the "sale" and was glad to have this lower price point, since it will not appeal to everyone.
I think that an acscending ladder and descending ladder would make a visual improvement. Full price would compete with other books of value.
