The Ordinary Ox is a new Christmas classroom musical, written by Claire Fitchie with music by James Wright.
We all know the story of the nativity but you've never heard it like this before. Two little girls are awoken on Christmas Eve by their toys and they listen and watch as each one explains what Christmas means to them. There are the clowns who love to make children laugh, the ballerinas who love to dance, not to mention the cowboys, robots and dolls, who all love Christmas for different reasons. But the only one who knows the real reason for Christmas is an ordinary looking ox.
With a simple but engaging script for KS1 and a humorous script for KS2, children and teachers alike will love this version of the Christmas story, giving the cast lots of opportunities to shine as they dress up and perform the colourful dance routines to the different characters while the songs are sung. If your school has previously performed the Gottalife Productions best seller ‘Christmas around the world’ then you’ll love this.
The complete package contains all you’ll need – KS1 and KS2 scripts, a full Piano score, melody lines, chord charts and photocopiable lyrics for acetate use. The script and lyrics can also be accessed digitally as PDF’s from the CD which also contains professionally produced tracks for all of the songs with and without Vocals.
