- The so called "duets" are useful for piano players because most of the melodies are incorporated in the piano accompaniment
- These are hardly duets in the true , traditional meaning of the word. There is very little two part writing - much of the duets are simply two voices singing in unison - or one singer singing solo , them the other singing solo a few bars later. The highest voice is often asked to sing in a ridiculously high register. I ordered these for two of my pupils (13-14 years old) who wanted to perform duets but was very disappointed to find that this book would give them very little practice in actually singing one's part whilst the other is singing a different part.
