The quality of paper and printing is (at best) mediocre - this piece would deserve a better edition!

Haunting and awesome, deeply spiritual and sometimes troubling. A powerful piece.

This is the most powerful and quite frankly the best piece of music I have ever heard in my life. I was in a choir that sang this song about a month after September 11, 2001. The first 3/4 of the song is like viewing heaven. Experiencing the last 1/4 of this song is like seeing the very face of God.

How do the basses manage to sing that note that continues through the whole piece? It's an amazing piece of music.

Absolutely Fantabulous! I've sung this one countless times, and it always gives me goosebumps to hear it again! One of those works that makes you believe when everything else seems to be going wrong.

Do it.....it is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces I have ever sung. We did it for a 9/11/02 memorial concert in Queens, NY and it really set the mood and was one of the favorites of the congregation.

I have sung this a couple of times and both of those times it brought a lump to my throat, (the basses then went around the rest of the day trying to unlock their vocal chords after the long bottom F). Amazing piece of music - never tire of singing or hearing it.
