I suppose the rating depends on your expectations. If you are just looking for a book with lots of tunes, then this is useful. If you want to learn something about Scottish fiddle music, better avoid it. There is no text at all in this book, just the titles of the pieces, and I am not even sure there is a logical order to the pieces; I possibly haven't discovered it yet. I was disappointed that there is absolutely nothing written about the pieces.
Perhaps as expected for a relatively cheap book with this number of pages, the binding of the book is not particularly suitable for use on a music stand. You need some strong, big clothes pegs to keep the page open on the right place.
So, as a selection of pieces, quite good, but that's all there is to it.
