Boublil/Schönberg: Les Miserables (Selections From The Movie)

Books | Piano, Vocal & Guitar

Publisher: Wise Publications
Format: Sheet Music | Songbook

This songbook contains 16 songs selections from the movie adaptation of the musical, Les Misérables by Boublil and Schönberg: Many favourites are here, some in slightly different forms, two with new sections added for the movie, including a Gavroche section in “Look Down,” back from the 1980 original French show, and one brand new song, “Suddenly,” - written especially for Jean Valjean/Hugh Jackman, for the scene after he discovers the strength of his new fatherly feeling for little Cosette - which aims to capture Victor Hugo’s beautiful statements about how two unhappy souls can make one happy human being.

Presented in Piano/Vocal format, the songbook also features 16 pages of colour artwork from the film.

Nice easy-to-read formatting and some pretty pictures from the movie
I wanted a more complete score, these selections missed out some of the trickier songs that I particularly wanted the scores for.

Lovely book. Nice to have some new numbers. Wish these books were spiral bound-very tricky on piano!
        Oops! As above.

Its fine if you don't already have a Les Miz book - but not worth buying just for the new song 'Suddenly'.

Bought on a whim, having just seen the film, something for me to aim at being able to play well (a keyboard returner)

Very good sheet music, a good representation of the music, very fun to play and with several challenging parts

A wonderful album, not only great music but a wonderful souvenir as well. Although I consider this a Best Buy, the type of binding used does not make it very user friendly on the music rest. pity a ring binder was not used. Still a marvellous album.
