The solo pieces in this 36 page book offer sequential reinforcement of the notes beginning students are learning, and introduce students to the concept of playing with expression and style.
Students are encouraged to develop artistry as they play variations in dynamics, tempo, pedaling, articulation, and octave shifts. Large note heads and limited use of rests gives this book a clean look and "easy" feel.
Teachers can decide to use optional, alternate fingering. Pieces are one or two pages in length, and can be programmed for performance or evaluation.
