The price is a little high compared to Trinity exam books.

This book is brilliant for consolidation for children who have learnt to read and play notes around middle C and are aware of the left hand lower C position. It has familiar tunes in settings that are excellent from a teaching and learning perspective. Strongly recommended - and the pupils can get a 'proper exam' once they've learnt from it!
The clear presentation is excellent but very drab. Maybe the odd line drawing wouldn't be out of place?

Really pleased with this new version of the pre-prep exam. My 7-year-old son was straight in playing 'Wheels on the bus' and 'London Bridge'. He really likes the idea of passing an exam even though he's still little more than a beginner. As far as I can see this is the only option for young pianists to get an exam pass so early in their development.
