The ballads are popular songs which are much enjoyed by the singing group I belong to and are of sufficient variety to retain interest and re-visit.
The music is written clearly and is relatively easy to follow, I think, even if you can't actually read music - we have varying abilities in our small group.
Most of the songs have repeats and you have to put in markers to easily find where the next verse starts etc. Can be done, but it is a bit tricky to follow sometimes or if you are looking at it for the first time and if you have relatively little musical knowledge.

Our choir loves the selection of music in this book. Coming back after Christmas to be greeted with this new music was a treat.

An easy introduction to choral singing for our newly formed chior. We managed Let it be and it has improved our confidence

My relatively new and inexperienced choir has so far tackled Califirnia Dreaming and Annie's Song. The ladies have responded well to our first attempt to sing in three parts and have found the arrangements quite manageable. It helps that they know and like the songs.
