Catalogue No: OP54505
Artist: Jessie J
Format: Books | Biography
This extraordinary biography tells how Jessica Ellen Cornish from Ilford in north east London overcame being 'not really that good at anything' to reinvent herself as Jessie J and record one of the biggest selling albums of 2011.

Success came in the face of extraordinary setbacks. Childhood bullying, an irregular heartbeat, a serious fall from the stage and a minor stroke at the age of 18 all threatened the health and career of the BRIT school student who first pursued fame through dance and the musical theatre.

An ill-fated stint in a girl group was followed by a solo record deal that almost immediately went bust. As an unknown support act Jessie J was often booed off the stage, but despite ill-health and career setbacks, she proved unstoppable. In 2011, following the release of the album Who Are You, Jessie J won a Brit award for Critics Choice and a slew of other awards.

This is the story of how she did it.

I bought this book today, I can't wait to read it, but.... I have just noticed on the back cover that it says.. In 2011, following the release of the album Who Are You, Jessie J won a Brit award for critics choice and a slew of other awards... I am a big Jessie J fan and was upset to see that you have Mia printed in that sentence... Her album is called Who You Are not Who Are You. So I'm not convinced so far with the book. Hopefully there will be no more mistakes when I read it.
