Maybe good for adult learners. Comprehensive explanations at start, and accompaniment on CD means simple playing can sound interesting straight away.
Too complicated for child learners. CD accompaniment is syncopated, so too hard for children to play on beat rhythms. Gave up teaching this book after first lesson.

        Its a good starter book.
Its quite expensive, and doesn't really do anything that other beginner books don't.

This is a fun way to learn the basics of piano playing. There is a CD, with gentle jazzy accompaniments, and easy printed accompaniments that a teacher can play at the lower end of the piano while the pupil is using the middle part of the piano. Keeping in time with the CD makes the pupils much more focused on counting beats properly, and the accompaniments make even very basic playing sound interesting. Only 4 stars because I would have liked a few more up-tempo pieces.
