My students enjoy using these cards to practise basic music theory, notation reading, and (very) basic rhythm.
Pretty flimsy. The cards aren't laminated so I foresee them getting grubby and damaged pretty fast. They're all just held together with a couple of rubber bands. But still decent for the price and a useful tool in lessons.

Excellent for young pupils to test themselves at home - and for me to test them in the lesson.

      Musicroom Reviews

All my young pupils have these and love having a Flash Card session during their lesson when appropriate. Particularly good for note recognition, dynamics and rhythmic work.

My six year old loves these.

Very good content and value for money. I agree with the idea of laminating them to make them last longer - I can see the thin paper getting shabby quite quickly. This product loses a star for not having the forsight to think about how much use these cards will get and not laminating them at source. Other than that, a great teaching resource, clearly & logically laid out.

A good set of cards, although it would be nice if they were plasticy or laminated, as I can see them getting damaged very easily.

      An excellent resource

Excellent value. Good quality card, should last. Games fun and educational.

I really like the way this book introduces the musical notation bit by bit rather than plonking an entire stave in front of kids right at the beginning. The activites and games are really useful for engaging by 7 year old pupil too

An excellent way to provide light relief during a lesson for pupils of all ages. They are varied enough to use different ones for weeks to provide variation. Having read the reviews beforehand I bought a cheap laminator and laminated the cards before using them. They will last forever and did not add much to a well priced product.

A staple ingredient of Theory lessons! Pupils like the random nature of the questions and the quick-fire answers. Very useful indeed.

A very useful teaching aid for learning notation. Particularly good are the rhythm patterns to clap.

Similar to other reviewers, I have laminated the cards. The rhythm cards are especially useful to me as it is easy to create a break in the lesson/practice but at the same time re-enforce the ideas by using clapping, single, and other instruments apart from the main instrument being taught. For little violinists, it would have been nice to see the treble clef leger lines go down to G... But it was easy enough to make my own cards to supplement...

Brilliant idea. My teenage daughters 'borrowed' mine to test each other!

Fantastic. Easy to use in lessons to test pupils on their theory without being bogged down in books.

I found these cards really useful for all ages and they make a fun end to the lesson. The cards cater for all ages and levels. Would be good if they were laminated for a longer life but overall a very good buy.
