Attractively set out and enables pupils to 'get playing' quickly and effectively.
For the older pupil, illustrations rather childish

This is a great accompaniment to the Piano Lessons book, covering all sorts of things to do with theory, but in a fun and accessible way. I use this in conjunction with the Lessons book and the kids really enjoy it. It's the best series of piano tuition books I have come across!

Excellent introduction to music theory for the very young. Used in association with the accompanying lessons book it works extremely well. The kids love the exercises. Highly recommended.

This book is useful to use alongside any piano tutor especially with young children to help them remember and revise the basics of music.

This is a good starting book for teaching simple theory and aural skills. My pupils have enjoyed writing their own music and like the attractive format of each new page which re-inforces what they have learnt through playing.

I have found this to be a really useful book to use with the Piano Lessons book. The pupils really understand it all more easily. Colourful, involves them, and helps them learn.

I like the Hal Leonard approach/ method. It is colourfully presented and gives me good ideas to fall back on when teaching if my student is struggleing with the piano lessons book.
