Sonata E Due Canzoni (per due Flauti Dolci e Basso Continuo)
For 2 Descant Recorders and Basso Continuo.
Italian composer Biagio Marini earned repute in the early 17th century as an outstanding Violin virtuoso. His extensive compositional legacy includes numerous sonatas, sinfonias and dances for various scoring.
The three compositions for Descant Recorders and accompaniment of a Keyboard instrument stem from his collection Sonate, symphonie, canzoni e retorneli Op.8, published in print in Venice, in 1629.
