| Violin, Viola

Publisher: Don't Fret
Inexpensive, mathematically designed for accuracy, and made of clear, self-adhering vinyl, it applies easily to the fingerboard.

Coloured lines arranged in a scale pattern show the students exactly where to place the fingers. It gives you a resource for teaching finger positions, scales, keys and intervals. Whatever your method, Don't Fret! helps you communicate more effectively.

Rather fiddly to fit but a bit of patience is all that's needed. There is no need to remove or even slacken off the strings as per the instructions (that's where the patience comes in). I find the colours of the lines a bit unnecessary and garish but they do show where to put your fingers which is the whole point of the thing.

have to say, these are amazing little friends to have on your instrument, for beginners especially you can visualize where your fingers will go and then work on the tine and pitch to eventually take it off and play all the right notes, it helped me massively and i'm sure will allow others to do just the same.
