This is a great way of learning alternative pieces for the Rockschool exams if you don't wish to use one of the specially written tunes.

The added plus point is that the book also contains full transcriptions of the songs with backing tracks so that you can also learn to play the song in full, as recorded by the original artists.

There are walkthrough sections for each of the exam pieces and guides for the full transcriptions.

This really is an excellent book

A good book with a nice selection of rock songs. Delivered quickly by Musicroom

This book is an accompaniment to the Rockschool syllabus and has a decent range of songs from Jailbreak to Wonderful tonight, but the key attraction for me is that Rockschool has put cut down versions of the songs to use for grading students as well as the full transcribed versions of each song. RGT does a similar range of books but only does the abridged versions so Rockschool wins for me.

My guitar students are delighted to have famous songs to play for their grades. Having the full score as well is a real bonus. Well done Rockschool.

This product was bought for my son who is learning guitar. I think it is rather expensive but hopefully he will enjoy learning the songs and so it will be worthwhile

Highly recommended to all teachers or students who wish to extend their learning. The pieces in here will appeal more to most students as they are well known, the full versions may be a bit hard for beginners though.

Tremedous value for money. Being new to guitar playing I needed a book of music that would complement the tutoring that I am already receiving. The ability to play either with the band or just to the backing track is a real bonus. Having the full version of the song is also a good idea. I would whole heartedly recommend both the book and the service.

Good but even my guitar teacher thinks difficult to follow in certain parts on advanced versions

Superb new course from Rockschool. Excellent material for students and teachers alike. The book is divided into 2 sections with a short exam piece consisting of the nuts and bolts of the chosen track followed by a fully tabbed version of the original recording with all guitar parts transcribed and an excellent backing track to practice over

This is a must have book for the beginning guitarist! The grade 1 student get's to play well known songs without the frustration of the music being too hard for them to cope with. Plus it has the full transcript of the song in the back of the book so excellent value for money in my opinion.
