As with all Hal Leonard "Guitar Method" books a lot of ground is covered quite quickly. It is not for absolute beginners as a certain basic knowledge level is assumed.
On the supplied CD, quite often three examples are put on same track: slow, medium and fast. It's difficult to stop the CD and loop it round a couple of times to get one demonstration under your fingers before it moves on to the next demonstration which is on the same track. More recent Hal Leonard publications have online/downloadable audio files and the Audio player on the Hal Leonard site allows slowing down, looping etc. For future purchases my preference will be to choose that format (rather than CD) where possible.
