Peter Knudsvig: A Tribute to Stephen Foster: Brass Ensemble

Stephen Foster could well ber considered America's first famous composer. Althoyugh his music consists mostly of simple melodies and could in no way be compared to the music of such contemporaries as Mendelssohn or Schumann, Foster did capture the essence of plantation workers life in his lyrics and music. This tribute to Stephen Foster contains five well-known melodies in varying styles. Contains parts for trumpet 1/2. horn in F, horn in Eb, trombone, Bb trombone TC, tuba and Eb bass (TC/BC).
