Moon Spruce as a top, and Indian Rosewood forms the back and sides. All are solid woods rather than laminates. aNueNue uses wood that has been naturally air-dried and seasoned for many years before even being put into production. The solid wood pieces require time to 'open up' and will develop an overall distinguished, more complex harmonic tone quality as they age.
