Composer and Organist Matthew Martin is Director of Music and a Fellow at Keble College, Oxford, having previously held posts at New College, Oxford, Catherbury Cathedral, Westminster Cathedral and the London Oratory
As a composer, Matthew's music is rapidly gaining him an international reputation. His “spikily dynamic style of composition” has led him to be commissioned to write for many prominent ensembles, most recently the Gabrieli Consort, the choirs of Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, St John’s College and Clare College, Cambridge.
Matthew Martin's setting of Adam Lay Ybounden was first performed by the Choir of Westminster Cathedral at St. George's, Hanover Sqaure, London on December 19th 2006. Here it is performed by the Southwell Festival Voices in 2014.
