Bert Jansch Competition

 

These terms and conditions apply to the competition to win two tickets to the “Bert Inspired 2017: A tribute to Bert Jansch” ("Competition"). By submitting an entry to the Competition, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

  1. The Promoter

 

The promoter is: Music Room Limited (company number: 00315155) t/a Musicroom, 14-15 Berners Street, London, W1T 3LJ (“Promoter”).

 

  1. How to enter the Competition

 

2.1          The Competition will run from Rae Macintosh Musicroom starting on Saturday 31st July 2017 until Friday 18th August ("Closing Date").

 

2.2          To enter the Competition:

 

(a)        Pre-order the “Bert Transcribed, the Bert Jansch Songbook” at Rae Macintosh Musicroom store

 

(b)        you must complete the flyer with your full name, email address and telephone number once you have pre-ordered the book and return this to a member of staff in store no later than the Closing Date.

 

2.3          The Promoter will not accept responsibility for Vouchers that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.

 

2.4          The Competition winner (“Winner”) will be selected randomly by the Promoters on 19th August 2017. There will be one Winner.

 

  1. Eligibility

 

3.1          The Competition is open to residents in the UK aged 16 years or over excluding:

 

(a)        employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;

 

(b)        employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or

 

(c)        members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

 

3.2          By entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.

 

3.3          There is a limit of one entry per person and entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.

 

  1. The Prizes

 

4.1          The first prize is two tickets to the “Bert Inspired 2017: A tribute to Bert Jansch” held at the The Queens Hall, Edinburgh on August 21st 2017  (“Prize”).

 

4.2          There is no cash alternative for the Prize and they are not negotiable or transferable. The Promoter will not be responsible for any costs associated with the Prizes that are not included in the Prizes.

 

  1. Winner notification

 

5.1          The Winners will be notified by telephone on Saturday 19th August 2017 using the telephone number supplied by them on the Voucher.

 

5.2          The decision of the Promoteris final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

 

5.3          The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the Winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their Prize by 5pm Saturday 19th August, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date.

 

5.4          If you are a Winner, then, at the time of notification or claim of the Prize (as appropriate), you must confirm the name for the tickets to be reserved under.

 

5.5          The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize.

 

  1. Limitation of liability and force majeure

 

6.1          Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, suppliers and/or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of entering the Competition and/or taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, suppliers and/or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

6.2          The Promoter will not be liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these terms and conditions if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control.

 

  1. Ownership of Vouchers and intellectual property rights

 

7.1          All Vouchers and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.

 

7.2          You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the Competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the Competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

 

  1. Data protection and publicity

 

8.1          The names of the Winners will be available for two weeks after they have been notified by emailing hello@sheetmusicdirect.com.

 

8.2          If you are the Winner, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the Winner of this Competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.

 

8.3          You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter including social networking site coverage of the Competition.

 

8.4          By entering the Competition, unless you tick the data protection box on the Voucher, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the Voucher may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition.

 

  1. General

 

9.1          If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.

 

9.2          The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

 

9.3          These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
