Description
The title refers to the historical period that marked the transition between the baroque and classical styles. Rococo music is characterised by a profusion of ornaments, by graceful elegance and lightness of writing. Concerto Rococò consists of three movements: Toccata, Elegie and Gigue en Rondeau - typical musical forms of that time. The concerto is very demanding on the technique of the soloist, but consequently highlights the flute’s agility and lyricism.
