David has worked in retail all his working life and has developed himself in a range of areas. His strengths lie in visual marketing, people management and training. He has a little obsession for all things musical and is passionate about music education. If you are looking for the best direction to learn a new instrument, David will know the direction that will suit your needs best.

Chris Marshall

Assistant Manager

Expertise: Guitars, Amps and Pedals

Chris has approximately 15 years of retail experience. Whilst he predominantly specialises in Guitar, Bass, Amps and Pedals, he has an expansive knowledge of the store as a whole, having been classically trained on Saxophone to Grade 7. Chris is also the lead singer and guitarist for Midlands based covers/function band ‘Me, Him and The Others’.

Elisabeth Humphries

Expertise: Voice, Ukulele and Recorder

Elisabeth started off being taught recorder and joining an ensemble. She is now self taught in ukulele and voice, and enthusiastic about learning new instruments. Elisabeth also enjoys being involved in musical performances at her church, where she runs the choir. Her idea of a fun ‘night-in’ is watching three musicals one after the other, with several mugs of hot chocolate!

Richard Chapman-Palmer

Expertise: Brass and Home recording

Richard joined Musicroom in 2015. His passion for music began when he started playing the cornet at a young age. He furthered his love for music by gaining a Music degree and a Masters in Music Industries. As an accomplished brass player he has traveled the world through music, and now continues to teach and perform with multiple ensembles in the Midlands.

Simon Thirkell

Sales Advisor

Expertise: Piano and Music Technology

Simon has been musical all his life, being taught violin, saxophone and clarinet from a young age, then going on to teach himself piano, guitar, and bass. Along with his wife, Simon runs a Gospel Choir promoting enthusiasm and timing. He is currently working with Musicroom part-time whilst completing a degree in Primary Education with Birmingham City University.
