Bobby Hackett: V-disc Parties~ Recorded Performance


The Army Special Services Division established the V-disc program in 1942 and made a variety of recordings for military service facilities around the world.Many of the records contained jazz artists' excellent performances that were not commercially available.
The first 4 tracks are a tribute to "Original Dixieland Jazz Band that made the first jazz recordings in 1917.
