Wye is a composer of wit and verve as these three adaptations clearly demonstrate. Paganini’s Moto Perpetuo, Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba and Widor’s Toccata have been rendered for virtuoso Flute ensemble with fidelity and style. There are parts for Flutes I, II, III, Alto Flute, Bass Flute and Piccolo.
Trevor Wye is a giant of the British – and international – Flute world. As soloist on the Flute and Flute d’amour he has performed and recorded extensively. As a teacher he has been a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music and the author of the series of ‘Practice Books’ for the Flute which have achieved worldwide acclaim. He is the founder of the British Flute Society.
