Rating Review
Customer Rating This is the original edition and only has a single clarinet part as it was originally intended to be performed. The 1st and 2nd movements are for A clarinet only and the 3rd movement starts and finishes with B flat clarinet with a change to A clarinet in the middle section. If you want the version with the B flat transposed 1st and 2nd movements you will need to find a different edition as it is not included. The music is very clearly printed in this edition but I was slightly disappointed not to have the choice of playing the transposed version of the 1st movement at least and even if it was not the original version it should have been included as an alternative. The only place where the pitch matters is in the middle section of the 3rd movement anyway where you need to play a low E on the A clarinet but otherwise we should have had the choice. Some people prefer to play the first 2 movements on the B flat clarinet so this is just for information for those considering purchasing this edition.
