Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a really good book for pianists of grade 2-3 standard who like Coldplay's songs. I am a piano teacher and have used it especially with some of my teenagers who want to play something contemporary. I have also used it with my keyboard students, who play the melody and chord symbols. My only complaint is that some of the arrangements sound a little dull and bare; left hand parts are simplified to single notes and bare 5ths.

Customer Rating Very popular with my pupils this one and many of the arrangements basic enough to cover grades 1 & 2. My personal view as someone who has the complete Really Easy Piano series is that the selection and choice of songs is absolutely brilliant but sometimes the arrangements could definately be better as if they haven't really been arranged by a pianist but by a computer programme so that the end result is sometimes needlessly difficuilt (especially rhythmically or hand co-ordination) which makes me think its a software programme arranging the music rather than a musician playing and scoring out an effective as well as a comfortable arrangement. So many books fall into this category nowadays especially the standard intermediate pop books, they're not player friendly at all (from a pupils point of view who perhaps doesn't have the experience to bend what's there into a more managable or accurate to the cd arrangement). I've ranted a bit there and went on a tangent about alot of other books really because overall for the Really Easy piano series this is actually meant to be a positive review and I would recommomend them, just want you to be aware in case you too find these points about alot of contemporary music books valid. Thanks for listening go and reward yourself with a cup of tea, you've just earned it.
