The CD is good for learning to play the pieces and the tunes are not too easy or hard. Overall I found this a good product.
The CD was great for learning on but as you got better with the pieces the CD became slow and boring.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a good collection of songs from the show. I would recommend it to fans, but there are some issues.

Firstly, there aren't separate demo and backing tracks. There are only the demo tracks (with a dodgy synth thing that is trying to be a glock?). It is possible to mute the right channel and to get the backing, but I couldn't do this on my HiFi and had to do it from my PC instead.

Secondly, the backing tracks really sound like they were programmed rather than recorded. They're not bad for the most part, but a few parts of a few songs in particular sound quite bad.

Finally, the arrangements are a bit dodgy in places. There are several places where it randomly jumps changes octave, which just sounds wrong. This is presumably to reuse the backing tracks for all instruments and make it slightly easier to play. I found it easier and better to play some songs in a lower octave, but that involved rewriting parts of the music.

So, all-in-all a good selection. They can be easily improved by playing certain songs in a different octave from what is written. Would have been better if the backing tracks were separate from the demo tracks and if the backing music didn't sound so programmed.

Customer Rating I bought this for my 12 year old daughter who has recently passed grade 3 cello. She has loved the musical for a long time and she has been able to concentrate on playing the notes yet being familiar with how the tune should sound.
