Italian singer and composer Gregorio Allegri is probably best known for his setting of Miserere Mei, Deus, for nine voices. Edited here by George Guest, it is a relativly simple yet pleasing and satisfying work for mixed chorus, and this edition features the original Latin text.

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating 9 voices with rehearsal piano part. An excellent piece of classical choral music.
Anon.

Customer Rating One of my favourite pieces of choral music. Beautifully presented by Chester music this edition is very clear in presentation and completely note precise.
The edition also offers performance suggestions as well as historic notes and a small piece on Allegri which is always nice to see.

Customer Rating One of the all-time choral classics of ethereal beauty.
This is a good working edition robust enough to last choirs for years.

Customer Rating A sublime piece of music that leaves very little to be said about it. This is a masterpiece of musical composition by Allegri that has the rare ability to leave both the performer, and listener, with shivers running down the spine.
This particular edition, as edited by Dr George Guest, does not diminish the purity of the work in the way that some other edited editions that I have heard or sung often do!
