Creative Saxophone is an innovative series for the beginner alto or tenor saxophonist who wants to play Jazz, Rock, and other contemporary music styles whilst developing a solid technique. The idiomatic exercises and pieces encourage an awareness of authentic styles and give players the confidence to begin improvising from early on. Each book includes a CD of backings for many of the pieces, performed by world-class musicians.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Excellent well-printed 72 page book with plenty of interesting well-written tunes rather than boring exercises to work on. Basic music theory doesn't bog you down too much. Includes fingering chart, major/minor/blues scales, arpeggios and glossary. Minor criticism - could have more tracks on the CD but it's enjoyable, good quality with 15 Alto and same 15 Tenor so you won't have to buy two books. Play the melody, solo for a couple of choruses, then back to the melody - just like a live gig. At this price it's a steal and if you complete the book you will be an accomplished musician.
