Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a good and interesting edition from a historical/musicological point of view, but of very poor musical value. If you are buying this for a young player, there are much better pieces around with far better musical value (e.g. Bach's book for Anna Magdalen or Schumann or Tchaikovsky's Album for the Young also by ABRSM publishing).

Customer Rating Bought this for one of my young students but was very disappointed. There are some quite complex ornaments in many of the pieces, and a great deal require more skill than your average grade 1 or 2 student. An interesting book, but of poor value as a teaching tool.

Customer Rating A selection of pieces which would make suitable practice for students around grades 2/3 to 5, although even the easier ones often demand ornamentation. Probably best tackled with the aid of a teacher.
