This is a full copy of the original Gershwin transcription for solo piano, and contains a brief foreword. One of the most celebrated pieces of American music, written originally for Paul Whiteman to perform on Lincoln's birthday in 1924. Initially a concert work, it was later adapted for two ballets.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Fantistic original version of the music, and what a piece of music!!

Well printed, though the forward is only 1 page long, and there is no guidance in terms of fingering (not really needed except for the occasional acapella part)

Customer Rating A good buy ,easily readable enjoyable to play however there are no fingering suggestions which can prove troublesome for some of the orchestral transcriptions of the piece .
Other than that good value for money would recommend buying it for a aspring pianist just above grade 8 level.
