Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating A nicely presented book, with catchy arrangements on the CD. I find this book most useful for sight reading practice. Using the CD means that pupils can't stop, go back or vary the tempo. The CD backing tracks are super. The children enjoy them!

Customer Rating What makes this book special is that some of the optional teacher accompaniments transform an easily played melody into something which sounds really sophisticated. The Painted Rocking Horse is a real favourite. Ideal for injecting motivation and enthusiasm into new learners - colourful illustrations, well written and comes with or without CD.

Customer Rating This is a very good series for beginners. Starting on the black keys helps to ensure a good hand position, and the repetition of favourite pieces on white keys, later in the first book, inspires confidence through familiarity. Piano accompaniments are lively and harmonically varied throughout the series and the optional CD provides a clear beat that has to be followed, encouraging accuracy. Also, used as sight reading material, encourages the student to keep going!
