Description

Twentieth century American composer Gordon Young was a prolific creator of Choral works and pieces for Organ, some of which have entered the repertoire. Here he has created a generous array of works of different styles and moods, including a Toccata, a Prelude on ‘Blessed Assurance’, a Trumpet voluntary based on an old English Hornpipe, a Concertino based on a Bach fragment and more. The student Organist will find much to explore and enjoy in this collection.

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating A very good range of music which is relatively easy to play, especially for the sight reader musician. The music is very tuneful and admirabley suited to church. It also assists the organist to demonstrate the power and range of the organ when using these pieces as recital material. It is also good to introduce a 'new' composer.
