Description

Three wonderful compositions, by the talented and innovative Chinese composer Bright Sheng. Requested by Seiji Ozawa for Leonard Bernstein's 70th Birthday celebration, these Three Chinese Love Songs are imbued with an oriental beauty, expression and fluidity— both lyrically and musically. Sheng has set three Chinese folk songs in an attempt to explore other compositional ideas, including his constant search for tonality.

For Voice, Viola, and Piano with complete lyrics in English and Chinese as well as a pronunciation guide and performance notes.
