This is new to the canon of Christmas pieces and different to the usual carols. It has a distinctly "foreign" texture and other than the equally foreign language is not musically difficult.
It has a nice, simple structure and needs taking at a reasonable tempo.
Unfortunately, it is over-long and repetitive andbenefits from being reduced in length.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating A marvellously rousing medieval Spanish Carol. Quite straightforward musically, but the performers have to get their mouths around the Spanish effectively. Always goes down a treat, but needs to be performed with lots of energy and with a good vigorous soloist(s) in the verses.
