Louis Moyse (1912-2007) was a noted French flautist, pianist, composer, music editor, and pedagogue. Raised in Paris, he was educated by his father Marcel, also a famous flautist, but spent most of his working life in North America. Ten Pieces For Horn And Piano was the fourth volume of his opus 37, each volume of which was a collection of 10 intermediate pieces for a different wind instrument. The ten characterful pieces presented here have been arranged for Horn with Piano accompaniment, and are bound to provide some stimulating performance material for any developing hornist.
