One hundred and six progressive Etudes, Drills and Exercises for the Student Pianist, ranging from Elementary level to quite advanced. The major aims of Volume 1 are the establishment of a good tone and technique. This book has been compiled by Howard Kasschau (author of the famous Kasschau Piano Course) from tutor books by by Cornelius Gurlitt, Louis Kohler and Ludvig Schytte among others, and include explanatory notes. Volume 1 contains studies 1-62.

Note on the difficulty rating of this book: since the book is progressive this is the level the book assumes at the beginning. Certainly some of the later studies would be useful to incorporate into daily practice until a much higher level.

Rating Review
Customer Rating As a piano tutor I'm overjoyed to have found this book. Volume 1 contains 62 graded studies suitable for use between beginners-approx Grade 3 to 4 from all our favourite composers such as Kohler, Gurlitt and the wonderful Carl Czerny. Great for use as quick studies in the lesson and as technique builders for home practise. A lot of music for your money!
