Description

100 Ultimate Blues Riffs for Brass Instruments is written by Andrew D. Gordon and performed on Trumpet and Trombone by Gabriel Rosati both of whom are internationally acclaimed authors, instructors and recording artists.

This product is an exhaustive guide to the various phrases or 'riffs' that make up Blues brass playing, both from a rhythmic and soloing standpoint.

This book is ideal for most levels of musicianship, from the beginner/intermediate student who is interested in understanding and playing the Blues to more advanced players who need new ideas to help stimulate their creativity. It is also useful as a tool for improving one's sight reading abilities with the examples being in many different keys and rhythms. The twelve bar blues progression and the blues scale are also explained.

Included with this book is an audio CD with each example recorded twice. The first version of each example has the brass instrument playing along with the rhythm section and the second version just has the rhythm section playing to that the brass instrumentalist can play a long.

Rating Review
Customer Rating this is a great book for learning basic to complex jazz rhythmes! When used with the cd it is easy to break down any awkward parts and practise until you get your finges around them. I would recommend this book to any brass player wishing to give jazz or blues ago!
