Rating Review
Customer Rating It's really good that in recent years the Associated Board have produced a book which can be used to take Grade 1, 2 and 3 descant recorder examinations. Prior to that, it would cost around £25 for the separate books needed- a prohibitive cost for many families. I like the mix of pieces from different musical periods, but still find myself using alternatives for the List B piece- Brian Bonsor and Christopher Norton write so well for the recorder. However, the book is good value and provides a useful repertoire for the inexperienced player.

Customer Rating This volume is likely to be the 'exam book' for many of those taking the early grades, and there is plenty of other useful material here too. The presentation can seem rather unappealing for many of those at this elementary level; for an educational album, the print is quite small, and there is little space for the teacher to annotate the copy. Even so, it is all carefully edited and scholarly in its approach.

Customer Rating Excellent book for young recorder players. Great selection of pieces.
