Somersham Cambs GB I'm Brass crazy
It is easy for young people to understand.
No frills like CD's which can waste time and be off putting .
It helps to like pupil with teacher.
Much better than the new version!!
Perhaps it should start with the note C instead of G. But this can be solved by working backwards on the first few lessons
Some of the tunes are now out of date for modern youngsters

Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a good book to get you started. It has some well known pieces and some tests. You really need a tutor to go through the book with you. If you have a weekly tutor you should get through the book within a year.

Customer Rating Good, works well with the trombone book in the series and can be used in a group situation. Doesn't move ahead too fast unlike other books, good steady pace. Some tunes are a little old now though.

Customer Rating Excellent old fashioned book structured to assist starting learning to play cornet - made great progress using this book - very pleased

Customer Rating Well it is really good except I suppose in my naivety I was expecting it to be an even more straightforward guide to playing the cornet than it is. I think a teacher is required, too. Although my daughter and I both play the piano starting the cornet without a teacher seems more difficult than anticipated. However I do not think this is the book's fault or the seller's - it was my silliness!

Customer Rating As a beginner, I find this "Tutor" informative, easily read and interpreted, and paced at logical small steps. I cannot compare with any other "Tutor" so thus have placed it at 4 stars.

Customer Rating The beginner I gave this too has nothing but praise for this book, as does her tutor.

Customer Rating This book is a first purchase for our daughter who has recently begun the cornet. It is full of well known tunes and is easy to follow. A good purchase.

Customer Rating Really good to work through all the notes gradually. My only slight problem is that there are a lot of christmas carols in there which are not so much fun to play in the summer months!! Otherwise i would really recommend to anyone wanting to start the trumpet/cornet.
