Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating The book arrived promptly and in excellent condition.
I am now using it for piano lessons and I am finding it very easy to follow and just the thing for a total beginner.

Customer Rating I am only part of the way through the book, but as a complete beginner I like the way the book encourages creativity by simple improvisations along with the backing CD from very early on. I have used the backing and a metronome to practice with and having the backing CD is definitely better. This is a good book for adult beginners.

Customer Rating Nicely presented book but...In the accompanied pieces (most of them), not happy about students having to move up an octave on the keyboard, but still read notes for an octave down. If anyone moves place to accomodate 2 people on the keyboard, shouldn't it be the teacher? Could potentially be v confusing for new students!

Customer Rating An excellent book for pupils who need to learn how to play in a steady manner, whilst still making good progress. This book has beautiful pieces with lovely accompaniments, I use it all the time for teaching pupils.

Customer Rating Highly recommended, I have used this with great success with both teenage and adult pupils. The content is varied and interesting from the easiest pieces. The progression is steady and very well thought out, covering all the techniques needed to become a competent pianist. Unlike most other piano methods, the Cds are well-recorded, take the music at a sensible tempo.

Customer Rating As a music teacher I have found this book refreshingly brilliant! The pages are well laid out, there are pieces with teacher accompaniment and theory is integrated and relevant to the pieces plus lots more. Loved the first book so much I bought all 5.
