Description
The first in a series of discs "The Blues Recorded Live In Chicago" that capture the very special atmosphere in the joints of Chicago's West and Southside black ghettos. This atmosphere is created by the playing of some of the greatest bluesmen (including Jimmy Dawkins, Fred Below and Eddie Taylor) - and not the least by the enthusiastic black audience present at the various venues visited.
This is The Blues of the mid-70s as recorded on the spot, originally produced for the French MCM label but now to appear for the first time including much previously unissued material - on Storyville CDs.
