Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating It has many lovely music to suite all levels of players. Would definately recommend it.

Customer Rating This book has a lovely selection of pieces and I enjoy playing from it. I think that the 'Intermediate' level that is recommened does not account for how difficult some of these pieces are to play. Debussy's Arabesque for example is not a piece that is grade 4-6 level, more grade 8. Then again, this book is great for pianists who want to start looking at the more complex works of the great composers. I definitely would recommened this collection but for players at a grade 5 standard at least.

Customer Rating This collection is one of my all time great finds. It is clearly printed with notes that are a good size for comfortable reading, and is comb-bound which makes keeping the book open and turning the pages a stress-free experience! The ninety pieces are excellently chosen, with so many tried and tested favourites as well as a wonderful sprinkling of very attractive pieces that are less often played. If I were forced to recommend just one book for my pupils to spend their money on, it would be this, though I also love Quiet Classics, edited by Keith Snell and available at musicroom. Each of these collections includes pieces that the other doesn’t, but there is more of a selection with regards difficulty in Piano Classics, Ninety Timeless Pieces. And of course, there are 90 pieces as opposed to the 64 in Quiet Classics. And all for an unbeatable price!

Customer Rating Big book with many familiar pieces at different levels. Music you probably have heard before, all in one place. Varying levels of difficulty all mixed together. Hours of fun!

Customer Rating Bought other pieces as a gift and couldn't resist buying this for myself. I am delighted with the contents and appearance of this music.

Customer Rating I can't review the entire book simply because there are so many songs and I havn't looked at many of them yet. In addition I can't comment on the difficulty because I have been teaching myself off and on for some time and don't really know what grade I am at. To hazard a guess I would say the book is intermediate to advanced. It has a nice large ring binding through the music so that it will sit open at whichever page you want and the sheets arn't bent.

It doesn't get 5 stars because the print isn't quite as crisp as some other sheet music I have but for the price you can't hold that against it. Every song is easily readable.

Customer Rating Great value, I use this a lot however beware of mistakes in Gnossiennes 3 Satie (Tres perdu). Small niggle but it threw me at first!
